The 6th ,7th and 8th grade concert bands will have their Spring concert this Thursday May 14 at Haines Middle School.

Arrive at 7 pm
4A 6th grade Band - report to the Orchestra Room (dress in the style of the
movie “Hairspray” or Black and White)
4B 6th grade Band - report to the Choir Room (dress in the style of the movie
“Harry Potter” or in Black and White)
7th grade Band - report to the Band Room (solid color top and black pants)
8th grade Band - Report to the Gym (Solid color top and black pants)

Concert at 7:30 pm

The Jazz Concert has been rescheduled for Monday May 11 at 6:30 pm at St. Charles North High School. It is at North because as soon as we are done with our concert (we will be done in about 45 minutes) North High School’s non audition Jazz Band Concert starts at 7:30. This way we have avoided at least one possible conflict with our make up date. So after our Jazz Concert you are all welcome to stick around and see the high school non audition Jazz groups. All Haines Jazz students should report to North High School at 6:00 pm Monday evening. Please follow the signs to our warm-up rooms.

Because of the delay between our last rehearsal and this new performance date, we are asking each band for a run through rehearsal on Monday morning before school to refresh our memories of the music before the evening’s concert.

Jazz Ensemble 7:45-8:05 am

Due to the closing of Haines due to the possible swine flu case the Jazz Concert is cancelled tonight. We will reschedule the concert later in May.

Band-A-Rama is just around the corner. This is not just for the students. Save the date, dust off that old instrument, come out and join us! Band Musicians of all ages are welcome.

Monday, June 1st at Saint Charles East High School (rehearsal at 4:30, pizza party at 6:00, performance at 7:00).

The 7th and 8th grade bands and orchestras will be performing next week at four elementary schools. Please print the permission slip, sign and return as soon as possible. Summer Band, Orchestra and Jazz has been finalized for this coming summer. It is July 13-24 at St. Charles East high school.
