The 8th grade band will play with the High School Band at the September 12th Home Football Game at St. Charles North High School. It is always a fun evening for all. Some items need to be purchased as soon as possible because of the date being so early this year. Please click here for the details about this first event.

To the 8th grade band:

I hope you are enjoying the last part of your summer. I am looking forward to seeing you on the 27th and getting our year going. Please start reviewing your scales that we tested last year. We are not going to be auditioning this year for seats, we are going to have a review test of the scales instead. It will be your first grade of the year so please take time to get a head start on reviewing the following scales - Concert G,C,F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, and chromatic. I will explain when and how the test will go once school resumes. If you need a new scale sheet and can get to Haines before the first day of school please stop in the band room any morning pick up a new scale sheet. Please also remember to have your instrument and the book we are using (Accent on Achievement Book III.) for the first day of school. For students who are in both Band and Choir, Wednesday, our first day of school, is a band day. For students who are in both Orchestra and Band, please come to band on the first day and then you will go to Orchestra the rest of the week.
